Yo, Saijo!

A lot of things in Japan are a little bit different.
There was quite a rain last night, but it was a nice time in the morning to head to........

.....the Saijo sake brewery district. It didn't take Ritsue long to get the hang of it.
It was pretty cool exploring all the different breweries. (and sampling)
Just one shot, onegaishimasu.

The district is rich with history, dating back centuries.
.....a couple of last looks......
.....and a couple of bottles to take back to Canada.
....diggin' the trucks over here. This one would look good working in the Vancouver film industry.
We went to this shrine in Fukuyama City.
To have a private service at Ritsue's family grave, given by the shrine's monk.
They were very welcoming, even asking us if we wanted this picture.
A quick stop at the family home in Mihara.....
As we drove on, I noticed a lot of industries and ports on the water around Mihara.
A quick look around the old streets in Takehara.....
.....much left to see, on the next trip, lol.
The next day, back in Hiroshima, I went for a walk in the neighbourhood, made a new friend....
The, I can't help myself, picture of a rusty old can, pic.
Not quite sure what they are, but do not look in good shape.
Salamander in some shallow water.
This caught my curiosity.
Well, that's quite a stockpile.
I love finding a trail where I'm the only one on it. What to do for the rest of the day?
