The Good Doctor on location.

Oh my, the oyster platter at the Blue Water cafe in Yaletown was to die for!

It was a very special Sunday evening on the patio........

......both my daughter and Ritsue were celebrating birthdays!
I had the sable fish, very tasty.
Time for the birthday wish.........
A beautiful day hanging out in East Vancouver waiting to take Dr. Park's wife and child to the airport. They are headed home to California until next season. (If there is a season 5 of the Good Doctor that is.) (I'm betting yes.)
A sunny but blustery day down in Kitsilano, waiting, as usual, to pick-up Dr. Reznick.
It's back! The striped tomato is on the lot. I smell a road trip coming up for the Good Doctor!
Meanwhile, by the construction shop, it's moving day for this shed.........(hmnnnnn)
The sun was setting on the San Jose St. Bonaventure hospital set at the Bridge studios. Tomorrow is a big day for the show........
........as we were out on the road, a rarity on this show. Hey, there's that shack that was being loaded at the studio. I wonder what it's doing out in Lynn Canyon park in North Vancouver? (stay tuned, lol). Hey, I see the Good Doctor in that crowd!
I had a chance to wander around a bit. I haven't hiked here in a few years.
Another victim of covid. The Lynn Canyon suspension bridge was closed. No fair!
Fellow cast driving peep Jaz having a quiet moment to himself.
Hey, wait a minute greens department! Doesn't the forest already have enough trees? (Actually, they are used to block out things we can't move like a small building or a fire hydrant.)
In my rear-view mirror I spy our base camp which we moved from the studio to Central Park in Burnaby.
So close to our place, yet the only time I seem to get here is when we are filming something. Spent a lot of nights here when I worked on the ABC hit show Once Upon a Time.
Even scooter the squirrel came to say hi.
Omg! Out of the woods, here comes my transport captain Ward with the Good Doctor himself and some of the crew. They were all singing along to "It's a small world after all", ha, fun!
The infectious smile (even through the mask) of Lea. (Paige Spara)
There they go, back into the woods of Central Park, looking refreshed after our lunch break.
......as they often do, the filming day tuned into night. We spent 2 1/2 days at Central Park.
Three cast vehicles (including mine) wait in the dark forest to take the cast home.
No sign of a covid lockdown at Kits beach on this sunny Saturday.
Another 6th day, another day at Vancouver Community College, which fronts as the hospital cafeteria.
OMG! As a favor to the second season of Upload, (Our Good Doctor transport worked on season 1) I had to go a pick-up Andy Allo, one of my favourite cast members to drive. She was working on a private project, and I gave her a ride back to her hotel. She was really surprised to see me, we had a great time catching up.
The groggy, only one day off Sunday, bedroom dresser meets the wall, pic.

The Good Doctor, episodes 417 & 418

........'tis the season.......

Finally got to taste the maple cream loaf from Kanadell Japanese bakery, WOW!

It's been a long time since Ritsue and I have ventured to Deer Lake.
These two were putting on quite a show........
I thought it was too early, but the turtles were out already.
Another sunrise, another week on the Good Doctor. We are currently finishing episode 417 and starting episode 418, meanwhile episode 414 should air on t.v. tomorrow night.
This little guy put me in a great mood, as I waited to pick-up, who else, Dr. Reznick, singing me his happy little song.
Never get tired of the view.
Close to the studio, 'tis the season.....
An early morning dawn view of Main St. from inside J.J. Bean coffee, as I wait for the Good Doctor's cappuccino don't you know........
......he'll soon be a happy little Good Doctor.
The red light is on at stage 9, still rolling at the Bridge Studios, hope we'll be wrapped soon.
Round and round, another day, another wait in Mt. Pleasant for the Good Doctor.
Now that the restaurants are closed again due to the never-ending covid restrictions, even the Sutton Place hotel is making outdoor patio space for diners. (Albeit they took away 6 cast vehicle spots that we so desperately need in the mornings.)
Friday night hang-out on Homer St., waiting to pick-up the executive producer........
.....time to swoop in on Mainland St. to pick him up.
Came home late Friday to find this massive yellow-faced bumble bee hanging out in our kitchen. How it got there?
The mandatory cherry blossom selfie.....
These are trying times indeed.
This one made me chortle. Guilty as charged!

The Good Doctor, episdode 417

Well, here we go again. With the new B.C. government covid restrictions, the usually busy Our Town cafe in Mt. Pleasant is now just for take out. (Which I did. One cappuccino for the Good Doctor, please.)

Early 6 a.m. pick-up at L'Hermitage, one of the long term residence hotels that some cast members stay at.
Next waiting for cast spot was Vanier Park. Surf's up!

My view of Elsje Point.
My view of Burrard Inlet from Elsje Point.
Hey! Happy birthday Dr. Reznick!
Lea (Paige Spara) and Dr. Wolke (Noah Galvin) share a laugh on the Bridge Studios lot.
One of those pics you accidently take with your phone and later you can't quite figure out what the heck it is, shots.
We are having a bit of a battle with the other show at the Bridge Studios, the Midnight Club. They insist on dumping there catering garbage at the entrance to our covid testing. Also, their trucks are blocking the fire hydrant that serves some of the stages. Boooooooo!
Our fabulous catering team did not forget Dr. Reznick's birthday. They made up a delicious dinner for her to take home to her family.
Meanwhile, back in Summerland, my daughter sent me this tranquil pic of Trout Creek.
Another concern around the studio. I had to take this picture to the joint health and safety committee meeting. This guy is smoking right beside our fuel truck, a real no-no. (There's over 1000 litres on board!)
Getting in the grabbing the Good Doctor a cappuccino at this Starbucks at Kingsway and Broadway, mood. Finishing off episode 417 this week, only 3 more to go!
Heading south on Cambie, one last look in the mirror as I leave the downtown core.
Thursday night, hanging out on Main St., c'mon let's finish filming so we can have a long Easter week-end, shot.
It's Sakura time! One of the great streets to see the cherry blossoms is Southoaks Crescent, close to the Nikkei Centre and our place.
We went to Kanadell Japanese bakery in Burnaby. Their maple cream loaf was so tasty, yum-yum!
On the way home we stopped and enjoyed a refreshing "Priscilla the tart" at..............
...........Strange Fellows Brewing on Clark Drive.
........ a coincidence? I'll leave it at that.
