The Good Doctor, episode 413, continued........

A short 2 day hiatus (others call it a week-end) from the Good Doctor season 4 gave us a chance to say hi to some new friends.

Topped off the hiatus with a lovely dinner at Vassilis Souvlaki Greek Taverna near our place in Burnaby.
The chicken and lamb, as well as the calamari were very good.
Letting my captain know I'm standing by to pick-up cast at the Sutton Place Hotel. (sorry, the purple gum is an insiders joke)
Two fine fellows. EdRocker, one of the best know background performers in Vancouver, and Damoon, who is in charge of checking everyone in for their covid tests.
Trying out the new camera my kids gave me. Nice view looking out to Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains.
Back at the Bridge studios, looks like another set is about to get built in stage 7.
Back to the Sutton hotel, round and round. Seems like the hotel is getting a lot busier these days. Are people starting to travel more?
Across the street from one of our new cast pick-up hang-outs, (L'Hermitage) sits one of the last old hotels in Vancouver, the Kingston, built in 1910.
Another important cast driver's duty, returning Dr. Guerin's (Brian Marc) name tag that he had forgotten.
We had a couple of later nights at the studio last week. That means less (or no) traffic in the Cassiar tunnel going north......
.......and about the same amount going south.
On this day we were under the parkade at the studio. It was playing as an ambulance bay for one scene. I think I can see Dr. Reznick and Dr. Park in the crowd somewhere.
The rain towers! Now that's rain! We shot a scene on the main street of Bridge studios on a Friday night.
Stay dry Dr. Reznick! (I drove her home that night, she said it wasn't bad at all, hmnnnn.)
I was watching from the dry safety of the offices across the way.
Plenty of lighting needed to make for the perfect shot.
It was a bit of a foggy fraturday by the time I got home. (a lot of the fog was in my head, lol)
Ha ha ha, when we watched episode 409 of the Good Doctor last week we saw none other than the EdRocker!
........back to last Sunday. We were invited out to a farm in Maple Ridge by fellow Teamster peep Ron and his lady friend Paula. We got to hang-out with his and his daughter's horses, Sage, and, and, uhhhhhh, the other one.
It was Ritsue's first time being this close to the horsies.
She even took Sage for a walk around the farm.
They were both very gentle.
This one belonged to diffrent owners and could only watch in jealousy.
Sure wanted to come out and join the party, though.
Watching all that horse stuff can make a person mighty thirsty, so we went to the nearby Ranch pub to quench.
Teamster captain Ward's cheat sheet on the cast pick-ups for one day. I hope he can read his own writing, lol.

The Good Doctor, episode 413

Cruising past the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, having just dropped of a guest star at the Sutton Place hotel. Already on the 13th episode of season 4, only 7 more to go this season.

Dr. Browne, Dr. Lim, Dr. Park, and Dr. Murphy. (The only one I don't drive this season is Dr. Park.)
Ahhhhhhh, my son and daughter have learned the art of gift wrapping from the best. (me, of course.) They got me a camera for my birthday, awesome!)
Another day, another pre cast pick-up stroll by the Burrard St. bridge in Vanier Park........
....... and 4 days later, a lot of the same.
We have had a bit  of a mixed-up schedule lately, but shooting day 11 of 8???
Of the original 6 "newbie" Dr.'s, only 4, Dr. Guerin, Dr. Jackson, Dr. Brown, and Dr. Wolke remain. (for now, oh-oh!)
The standard, (for me) bored, sitting at the studio, sky meets stage 12 pic.
One of the stages used for the show Lost in Space sits empty for now. I wonder what will come next.
The lot under the parkade used for the Lost in Space base camp is now just for me!
Driving down the road, I caught up to this Berry & Smith transport truck. What a blast from the past, that is where my professional driving career began, way back in 1980 in Penticton.
Time for my 6 month dentist appointment. All ok for another 6.
Ritsue followed suit the following week-end.
Waiting for Dr. Reznick, an early shot looking over Kits pool.
Later in the week, Point Grey Park, waiting for..... Dr. Reznick.......
......next day, waiting again for, you guessed it, Dr. Reznick.
Well, the weatherman was right. Saturday morning we woke up to snow.
We made the most of it, getting out for a frolic Saturday and Sunday.
Something about the first snowfall that is so good for the soul.
Ritsue is quite adept at her snow angel making.........
.........very nice!
We stopped at the Nikkei Centre on the Saturday to check out the Hina doll collection.
Outside the Nikkei Centre, trying to capture the perfect berry'n'snow shot.
Earlier in the week, Ritsue was downtown on her own mission. Ha!, there she is by the old familiar Gastown Steam Clock. Brings back memories.
Back on set, the boys (Guerin, Wolke, Park, Murphy and Andrews) strategize a treatment for one of the patients.
Apparently the Good Doctor himself had his own little project on the go during the covid shut-down. I had no idea, but will certainly check it out.
