One down, 19 to go.

Well, what a surprise. This was on the passenger seat of my cast ride as it is languishing at the Ford dealership. Never mind the transmission failure, and the recall notices, now it has a wiring harness issue under the hood that may cause an engine fire. For liability reasons, they can't let me drive it and the parts are on back order. Reminds me of my olden days when we thought Ford stood for "fix or repair daily".

Ahhhh life at the Bridge Studios.
The first crew meeting of season 6 of the Good Doctor. We finished the 1st episode last Friday.

Cause for celebration. Look at the size of that oyster from........
..........Fanny Bay Oysters on Cambie Street in Vancouver. A little, lol, snack before.....
....junior and I headed over to B.C. place to watch.....
.....the B.C. Lions and the Edmonton Elks football game.
We met up with fellow Teamster peeps John and Myles. Thanks to Teamster peep Bob for giving us his tickets.
It was not much of a contest as B.C. clobbered the Elks 46-14.
I saw a grasshopper for, I think, the first time in Burnaby. Due in part to the wave of extremely hot weather we have been experiencing in the Lower Mainland?
Another cast driver chore. This time delivering these orchids to one of the cast members.
I was asked to take pictures of one of the ambulances used on the show.......
......so I.........
.....happily.......
......obliged.
....the inside......
.....closer look pic.

The random, driving down Madison Ave. in Burnaby, here's the river otter sculpture, pic.
Another first. Exchanging this ??? thing for the LX (lighting) department. Well, got to make the most of my one day off this week. Tomorrow is filming day 7 of 10 of episode 602, a long way to go until the first episode airs on October 3rd.

Wait for it.........

Way down upon the Alouette River............

....Ritsue and I will be, at least on this Saturday night.
Ya, that's a thumbs up! We were invited out to Jon's, our head caterer on the Good Doctor, place out in Maple Ridge. His property backs on to the river.
Simple pleasures like sticking your feet in the river, ahhhhhhhh. Thanks for having us out, we'll be back for sure.
Random, I can make a fist and break open a Kraft pasta box, which I used to do when the kids were little, and who cares, it makes me laugh, pic.
Ya, who's number one? I got the primo parking spot right outside of arrivals at YVR as I awaited to pick-up the director, who was flying in from L.A.
Spent a couple of days helping out another Brightlight Pictures production. I drove some of the execs around, scouting out locations, including the infamous Crease Clinic at Riverview. We have filmed here over the years on many productions, including the Good Doctor.
With temperatures in the upper 30's, my only escape as I waited, was the shade under the trees on the Riverview grounds.
Looking south, haven't seen that "heat haze" since last summer.
We decided to be brave or crazy, and went to the Vancouver Canadians baseball day game last Sunday. The temperatures were in the low 90's Fahrenheit. At least our seats were under cover.
The occasional breeze (and beer, hyuk) made it at least bearable.
Yay, the home team wins again, this time 6-1 against the Everett, Washington Aquasox.
....wow, you go girl! Ritsue, when we were out in Maple Ridge, doing the chopping to gather kindling for the fire pit. Nailed it!
Ha! The show I saw when I was a kid, the Jetsons, (aired in 1962, and apparently set in 2062) shows George Jetson birthday as July 31, 2022? Well happy belated birthday, .........wow!

Prep on....

Almost a full month of prep work. On this day I was driving some of the execs on a show called Luddwig. We drove around parts of the lower mainland looking for the right farm and farm house.

A quick pit stop down by the mighty Fraser river......
....then back to farm hunting, this one was in Langley.....
These barns were in Aldergrove. Nice view of the U.S. border which is  directly across O Ave.
Lots of interesting things to see at these locations.
They were also looking for a greenhouses. This one in Langley is massive.
Had a quick peek inside, not sure what was growing in there....
Well, that makes it official! Filming for season 6 starts later this week.
Time to get Saint Bonaventure Hospital back up and running.
Lots of prep work to do on stage 4.
Ritsue was all smiles holding who is, I guess, my great grand-niece.
My niece and her family were in Abbotsford for their son Marcus's wedding. So nice to see them and catch up.
Do no see my niece Baby Tami nearly often enough.
Waiting out at YVR to pick-up the first director for season 6. So much busier these days, and masks inside the terminal are not mandatory.
Went to a memorial for fellow Teamster Vittorio. I worked with him a lot on the t.v. series Falling Skies.
....... Wordle is getting sneakier, what, no main vowels??
