Will it ever end......

Thursday night, hanging out in the Heights. Filming for episode 517 of the Good Doctor was outside of a bar on Hastings in Burnaby.

Earlier in the week I got to hang out in one of the nicer alleys in Vancouver. We were filming in the Shaughnessy neighbourhood.
Let a picture say a thousand words, lol. (I sure can't say anything.....)
.....back at the Bridge studios, beside ours, the set of the Fall of the House of Usher remains quiet. (They must be on the road, haven't crossed paths with them for a few days.....
......earlier on that Thursday in the Heights, I was blocked by this limo bus. (Hmnnnnn, could it be part of the episode, and why???........)
He's back! Fellow Teamster peep John is back behind the wheel of this transit bus for a scene. (probably the 3rd or 4th time he's been called into action)
....and there they go! (Hey, wait a minute, they blacked out the windows, we can't see who's in there!) Stay tuned........
Sitting outside of stage 1, waiting for a wrap on what was to be a mini fraturday. I can see there's not much action at the MRI machine.
Oh man, the warmer weather has brought out the cherry blossoms around our place.
.....me and many, many others trying to get the perfect pic.....
.......almost.....
....I bet if we waited a while longer, those buds would be a blooming.......
......many other flowers, like these hyacinths, to enjoy as well.
The unforgettable moment was in episode 511, the first since the end of Salen and Ethicure)
(The will it ever end, refers to covid. People on the show, including cast, are still getting it.)

Cram your Sunday......

A little twist on the St. Patrick's day green beer. It seemed like a good night for a St. Patrick's day vodka and soda after another long day on the Good Doctor.

Well, it rained and rained. Pretty soon Dr. Reznick wont be able to get into her trailer. (turns out we had to get pumps to clear out all of the water)
Grey days on Burrard Inlet. (waiting for Dr. Reznick, (gosh I spend a lot of time waiting for her) I did not get out of my vehicle to take this pic, lol)
Doing scenes from episodes 15, 16, and 17 of season 5 of the Good Doctor kept all of the cast drivers going round and round. On this day I was hanging out in Mt. Pleasant waiting to pick up the cast.
Another day, another spoiling from the catering crew......
A St. Patrick's day spoiling from the crafty (snack and first aid) peeps. (Wow, hard not to indulge, careful!)
....round and round, dropped off a guest star at the Sutton hotel downtown, heading north looking at the North Shore, back to the Bridge Studios to wait for wrap and Dr. Murphy.
.....next day down through Chinatown back to the Sutton.......
....with so many t.v. pilots and productions going on right now, I was stunned to see I was the only one out front at the Sutton. (42 shows in prep, shooting and wrapping right now, and most of the directors, writers, actors and producers stay here.)
A little early for my Dr. Reznick pick-up, so I hung out at Vanier Park in Kitsilano. Nice view of the Burrard St. bridge and downtown Vancouver.
.....and as nice or nicer view looking west......

6:30 a.m. and all is quiet at Kits beach, another Reznick pick-up.......
Cram your Sunday refers to the fact that we had to work on Saturday. One day to get all your chores done. At the studio it was wash the vehicles day while we waited to take cast home. I managed to create my own rainbow with the hose. (Tough juggling hose and cellphone, let me tell you!)
At least the sun was shining down on the Bridge studios yesterday. Also, very quiet, the other shows, Fall of the House of Usher, Quantum Leap and Early Edition were not there, nice!
Well, as I post this Ritsue and I are about to watch episode 10 of season 5. Will Dr. Lim or Dr. Andrews win out?
Salen? Hmnnnnn.........
Will Dr. Lim, with the help of Dr. Murphy win the war against Ethicure?
We are all waiting for the outcome.....
A shout out to Cayman Grant, who directed episode 513.
We're about to find out!
Ritsue captured spring around our condo building. That was last week, before winter came back at us. (currently 4 degrees celsius as I write this on the first day of spring, yuk.)
.....and Ritsue can attest to that, ha!

Spring forward......

I'll make this short, a little grumpy, lost an hour's sleep last night, lol. The week started with me waiting for the Good Doctor himself who was at an appointment downtown.

Last week-end was stunning spring weather. We had a chance to join the throng and hike around Deer Lake in Burnaby.
This was about the only time we weren't dodging and ducking other people.
The mandatory selfie........
.....back at the studio, most of this day involved scenes in the emergency ward of St. Bonaventure hospital. Currently working on episode 516. Two more until the season finale.
On the studio lot, this vintage? Ford Pinto picture car. (I don't think it's for our show, but what a blast from the past.....
Friday (which was not a fraturday) was spent at Vancouver Community College on Broadway, which doubles as our hospital cafeteria. Dr. Murphy and Lea are behind that crowd somewhere....
The gift of a turkey avo bowl and a cheeses from the craft service (snack truck) helped Ritsue create this amazing Saturday morning feast.
Okay, what will happen tomorrow night now that Dr. Lim has everyone on board with her to go against Salen. (Rachel Bay Jones). Hmnnnnn........

Dr. Andrews has his own dilemma, who will he side with?

Will we find out tomorrow night?

Okay, I give up on "Canuckle". (a Canadian offshoot of Wordle) I got this one, but it's hard to come up with 5 letter words about Canada. (Although tomorrow I will try moose, beaver (oh no, that's 6), igloo, snowshoe (oh no, that's 8) hockey, oh no, that's...........

Friyay turns into Fraturday.........(somewhere over the rainbow...)

A lovely rainbow over the base camp (circus) of the Good Doctor. We filmed scenes from episodes 515 and 516 this week. Episode 508 aired last Monday, we watched it last night, I quite enjoyed it. What will happen to Salen, hmnnnnn.......

The random, waiting on cobblestone Hamilton Street in Vancouver, for the 516 writer of the show, pic.
Always a first time for something in this job. On this day, the cast driving team got together to make sure this hairbrush, yes, the plastic hairbrush, made it from the studio to one of our illustrious "unnamed" main cast member's home, lol.
Okay, no-one had to put a gun to my head. The mighty Teamster (and if we don't watch it, there will be more of us to love...) peeps had a mission last week to find the best donut shop in town. So each day we tasted a treat, like this just as tasty as it looks maple bacon donut from Lucky's. (The jury is still out, we are all coming down from sugar highs....)
Well this week started later Monday morning and as it went on, later and later. Lunch at 1800????? I know where this is going.........
.......suspicions are correct, our normally Friyay became a Fraturday. Lunch at 19:30?, c'mon! (somewhere over the rainbow...this night will end.......)
Well, one pic can say a lot, unfortunately I cannot elaborate on what is going on in episode 515, but it's a pretty incredible history reminder.......
Walking around the studio I found myself above the stages. Wow, the amount of effort needed to create the sets of the Good Doctor.
Heading downtown to pick-up this episode's guest star. (blast from the past, this actor was in the Seinfeld pilot, wow!) What a gorgeous day to drive into the heart of Vancouver.
Friday dusk at the studio. Hunker down folks, it's gunna be a late one, lol....
Another incredible view of Mt. Baker from our balcony.
If that doesn't suggest spring, well........
So like everyone else we had to go for a walk yesterday when the weather was so delightful. All that exercise make one awfully thirsty. (We weren't the only ones who popped into Studio Brewing in Burnaby for a frosty beverage. If you go try the Rolodex (shown above, lol). Lots of flavour going on in there!
We live in a pretty decent neighbourhood, sorry to see the drug problem so close to home.....
Did I mention I hate wordle............
