Upload, episodes 105 & 106

Heading into downtown on Monday morning, an early 4:30 a.m. cast pick-up, yikes!
This was an extremely busy week on the Amazon series "Upload". We started filming on the 5th and 6th episodes of season one.

Standing by close to set, I swear I see a dinosaur hanging above that building.

Later in the week we were back out at Spanish Banks. What a great view of the North Shore

.....and looking west, a great sunset view.

Heading to pick-up the director on this day, the trees are in full bloom, spring is definitely here!

Looking out from my balcony, I can see where our base camp will be on this day. (These warehouses are destined for condo development, no surprise.)

....and later on, looking from our base camp back towards my condo.

Friday night we were filming in New Westminster, a few steps away from the Fraser River.

It was bad enough it was going to be another Fraturday, but this train was blocking my access to pick-up the director. (I cannot imagine living in one of these buildings, there was train noise all night. )

So now it's a wrap, and I still had to wait a couple of minutes more for this train before I could swoop in and get the director.

Meanwhile, on the set of Supernatural, my background and fellow blogger peep, Ed Rocker, was totally getting a makeover!

On the web........

Shouldn't she be playing a trumpet???

That is a ram with attitude!

yes!

...sadly enough, this is a real book....

Yes, big fish, no, I do not know what the guy is doing in there.

… is this real???...

On the Road again, part???

Working on the new t.v series "Upload" took us to many locations this week. I was lucky enough to be driving out toward UBC university when I saw over my shoulder this view of the "Super Worm moon". Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
…….random, I like it, shot of two of my plants, pic......

A nice day in the woods. (Actually, this is outside of our base camp in Burnaby, and this "forest" runs about the length of a driveway before it runs into Kensington Ave.)

The weather was so nice this week! 21 celsius on my cast car thermometer. Many temperature records were broken this week.

.....and while the sun was setting in the west near our Burnaby stage......
...the moon was rising in the east behind the same studio.
Early morning cast pick-up close to Science World. I always love coming down here to Olympic Village and the False Creek area.

I was keeping an eye on Jonathon keeping an eye on me.

….'twas a beautiful week.

….one day we filmed in New Westminster. This was another great vista, the mighty Fraser River.

There was an old railway bridge behind our shooting location. I thought for sure it must be defunct...….

I was wrong! Just 5 minutes after I first walked by I heard the mighty rumble.
They are filming in there somewhere.

Later that evening, it was back to base camp in New Westminster. They were rigging a transit bus for nighttime driving scenes.

The next day, we were out towards UBC at the Jericho Lands. This used to be part of a 90 acre Canadian Military Base. Now, it is prime real estate waiting for development.

….very close to downtown.

….meanwhile, back at set, Jon and the Raincity catering team were spoiling us just like they did on the Good Doctor.
Fried chicken? Sign me up!

…. meanwhile, our third assistant director, Jasmin, was on duty, taking our #2, Andy Allo to set!

… a nice sunset in the side mirror..

On this day I had to pick-up an exec at an underground parkade. I had a view of potentially 3 doors that she could of come out of. (it was the one on the left)

...and just when I thought I was an all important cast driver, I humbly was sent to pick-up some salsa for the craft service department....

…..one of two nights of filming at the Stanley Park pavilion.

….a pic looking towards the Pavilion on the second day of filming.

...driving back to set, a swell view of Vancouver from Stanley Park

….the birthday candle that Teala gave me has finally flickered it's last flame after many nights of enjoyment...

Lovely to be back in the forest on the day...…..

….albeit the concrete jungle of downtown Vancouver. (same trees)

…. on this Friday, I mean Fraturday, the clouds were rolling in, and we even had a little rain, just to freshen things up.

I had to go get gas, and on the way back I drove through Stanley Park, and enjoyed this view of the Lion's Gate Bridge.

…..on the web,
unfortunate

...the brilliance of someone's vision..

..awwwww

hope that's a prop tent......

...be careful when you come home drunk.....

why is that?

I remember this story from awhile ago....

...not to make light of those moments in history, but it's too bad they didn't have lottery tickets back then..
