Upload, episodes 103 and 104

Filming episodes 103 and 104 of the new Amazon series, Upload. We spent an eye-opening Friday on the downtown eastside of Vancouver.

UPLOAD (single camera)
Picked up to series; 10 episodes
STUDIO: Deedle-Dee Productions

LOGLINE: Set in a future where humans are able to “upload” themselves into their preferred choice of afterlife. When Nathan meets his early death, he is greeted by the Nora in his version of heaven. As Nathan grows accustomed to life away from his loved ones, the alive Nora struggles to stay afloat working her job alongside Nathan in the afterlife.
CAST: Robbie Amell, Andy Allo
Dinner with the kids at Brown's Social House in Burnaby. The Ahi tuna poke bowl was totemo oiishi! (very tasty)

Part of my work routine, a trip to Shine Auto Wash on Terminal Ave. in Vancouver.

…..cruising west down Broadway on my way to pick-up the director for these two episodes.

A familiar place for our base camp, the "garden lot" across from B.C. place and Roger's Arena.

…..and once again in the world of film, day turns into night. (not quite a Fraturday, I was done by 2 a.m. haha)
We spent Friday shooting at this Anglican church on Cordova and Gore close to ground zero of the eastside. It was so sad to see the homeless and drug addicted people going through their daily routines.

The very popular Sunrise Chinese market on Powell and Gore behind the church.

The teddy bear tree on Hastings Street. A contrast to the reality of the hopelessness suffered by the masses down here on the Eastside every day.

....a lighter side, on the web....

That was me last week-end, for sure!

Is this a good investment?

….wow, I would not of thought of that..... well played...
....only in Canada
