Upload, the final stretch.

A beautiful, albeit early, start to the week. We are on the final two episodes of the 10 episode Amazon show "Upload".
A chance on the week-end to have a little dinner on the Easter week-end with the kiddos.

The tiger prawn linguine was quite satisfying.

Out at YVR waiting on an exec pic.

Filming out in Burnaby, chasing the train from base camp to set.

As usual, I am not allowed to show very much of our filming. On this day we were out at city hall in the town of Port Coquitlam.

One of the picture cars used today. (The show is supposed to be in the year 2033.)

Back at base camp, the skies were ominous.
Almost stepped on this little guy.

Friend and fellow Teamster peep Tracy graced us with his presence and helped us move the trucks to the next day's location.

We were in East Vancouver today, the stunt actors were about to practice in this alley way.

Our base camp gave us a glimpse of downtown.

On this day I had to take some Netflix execs to the Bridge studios for meetings about a new show they will be filming in Vancouver.

Meanwhile, back in Hiroshima, Ritsue sent me this pic in her house. Even a dead stink bug is still pretty yucky.

That was me this morning!

I am not comfortable with this picture, that's a big dog.

Upload, episode 108

A rainy start to my week working on episode 8 of 10 episodes of the Amazon prime t.v. series, Upload.
This morning I was hanging in the alley in east Vancouver waiting to do a pick-up for the grip department......

…..at Best Film Services, who provide blue screens, green screens, and many types of fabrics for cinematography.
Outside my place, so many things in full bloom.

Our base camp was back down by Burnaby Lake.

Waiting for a cast pick-up, a chance to walk around by Olympic Village and view the city across False Creek.

I came across this sign. I do not know what I should be worried about, maybe the casino in the copper building???

On this day, they filmed in this water tank, complete with underwater cameras. In the show, it will look like a lake. (apparently the blue screen will be used to get the visual effects they need.)

The lead actor, Robbie Amell is prepared for his actions. (which I cannot divulge)

It was a short week. We took Friday off for the Easter week-end, which gave me some much needed relax time.

On the web this week, some perfectly timed photos

Upload, episode 107

Another wild week on the new Amazon series "Upload". Not only were we doing two episodes at once on three different days, the weather was far from co-operating. This day at Stanley Park was supposedg to be a lot of exterior shots.

….but just wait a couple of hours, the weather will change. (This was at the Stanley Park Pavilion, just like the first picture, haha.)
Another of the never ending pix of Mount Baker from my balcony.

.
A cooler, misty day at Burnaby Lake, close to our base camp

Early morning in Yaletown, waiting for my cast pic as she was grabbing a coffee.

…...and then a couple of sunny days at Spanish Banks

….but the shooting crew didn't see it, they were filming inside the Chan Centre at the University of British Columbia.
I love this view of Vancouver. Today was a bit different......

…..I have never seen the tide out so far at this location.
….another cast driver 911 delivery, the set did not have their wi-fi hub, oh no! (...the show must go on....)

...far off the shore you can see people way, way out there.

...another feature of Stanley Park.....

….as is this garden....

…..by our base camp, it started to snow! (snowing cherry blossoms that is)

….and still another cast driver 911! It was so chilly on this evening, I was sent out to get the ingredients to make hot chocolate for the crew.
Heading back to set the next day, a really nice view of English Bay looking out west.

Yay! Still at Stanley Park, we had horsies on set!

I was stationed at set to be a warm-up vehicle for the cast. It was a little too close to the action for me.

On Friday, I had a quick chance to check out the set sale from the t.v. show Man in the High Castle, also filmed in Vancouver.

So much to see. I was tempted, but refrained.

… random, the head of the show, Greg Daniels, asked fellow cast peep Marianna to play a song, so she did.

…. oh oh, this night shot of a transit bus lit up outside the stages has all the makings of a Fraturday!

…..yes, I am no detective, but the clock told me it was a Fraturday.

….on the stage, grin and bear it...…. the fraturday that is....

Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe, look at this extraordinary sushi dish Ritsue's mother bought her for her birthday.

…..and this yummy looking  dessert!

….is it?

…..aye carumba!

....historic....

.....oh sure, if you have that kind of car.....

....I'm saying staged....
