The Good Doctor, episode 317

Oh No! My transport captain, Ward, has lost his mind!, thinking about the probability of another Fraturday on the Good Doctor!
What looks like a nighttime shot of B.C. Place is actually a way too early Monday morning shot, as I waited downtown to pick-up the Good Doctor.

Tuesday, an early pic again, waiting outside JJ Bean coffee on Davie. (I'll have to wait 10 more minutes, it does not open until 6 a.m.)

Wednesday, I had time to go for a little stroll by Granville Island, underneath the Granville St. bridge. This time I was waiting to pick-up Dr. Reznick.

Back at the Bridge Studios, Dino is using the "trailer caddy" to move the craft service (snack truck) from stage 4 to stage 1.

Thursday another Dr. Reznick pick-up. Her place is close to Kits beach, with a decent view of downtown Vancouver.

The water was cold, but clear.

Only in the film world can you land a helicopter at the city of Surrey's city hall plaza.
Surrey city hall plays as the exterior of San Jose Saint Bonaventure hospital on the Good Doctor.

Our base camp was across the street. A lot of exterior scenes today, which were unfortunately, filmed in the rain.

Fellow Teamster peep Bob cutting into his birthday cake at catering.

I was parked between Surrey city hall and this hi-rise which has residences, a hotel, a university and a coffee shop!

Thursday night, close to Kits pool, once again waiting for Dr. Reznick.

Friday, back downtown, still raining.

In my rear-view, no worries, it's just more Teamster peeps. (Bob, Mike Ward, and Johnny )

Finally, while waiting to pick-up Dr. Park, the sun shone!
I spied this totem pole close to our base camp at Queen Elizabeth park in New Westminster.

The home in New Westminster, where we will spend our Fraturday.

I saw a huge coyote running in the yard close to my cast vehicle. By the time I got my camera out, it was too late. Chantelle from the make-up department laughed at me and said my pic looked like a sasquatch.

A foggy ride home Saturday morning.

The fans are jumping to conclusions! Is the Good Doctor's roommate, Lea, really off of the show??

The fans have spoken!
Meanwhile, back on set, Dr's Park, Browne, Melendez and Reznick are not so concerned.

Somewhere in China, is this overkill on an excavation, or maybe excavator training school?

GD3, episodes 316 & 317 Snowmaggedon, Vancouver style!

Haha, another snowy day in Vancouver. (totally not the norm!) I spied this guy while I was driving down Union St. on my way downtown. Now he's got the right idea!
A little anxiety setting in, the Good Doctor has a big outdoor scene coming up this week, and considering it is supposed to be set in the San Jose, California area, ……..hmnnnnn…..

…..and the next morning it was not much better. Waiting for the Good Doctor downtown.
Only 2 weeks ago I was complaining about the rain at the Bridge studios.....

…….Monday was snow...….

…..followed by even more later in the week.
…..one of my cast driver duties this week was to go out to Vancouver International airport and pick-up the CEO of Sony Pictures at Sony's private jet.(He was coming for a set visit) I drove right out (with permission, of course) onto the tarmac.

My cast vehicle is stating the obvious.....

…..one of the outdoor scenes this week was at Vancouver Community College, which plays as the hospital cafeteria. The crew actually had tiger torches to melt the snow around the front entrance...…..

…..the sidewalk was a daunting task, but the road outside too??????

Once again VCC is all lit up, courtesy of the Good Doctor.

Waiting for wrap, as I sat in the parking lot bored, I ended up watching the side of this moving truck.....
…...ha ha ha ,there it is again, the frog has a bright green nose, kind of like an amphibian version of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.
(The street light across the street was the answer to the mystery.)

Then the day came. We infiltrated this cul-de-sac in Burnaby. San Jose, this was not. (you will have to watch episode 316 of the Good Doctor to see how they made this work.)

Ya, that's right, -7 (19 Fahrenheit) is darn cold in Vancouver land.

Our craft service people helped us get through it with hot chicken soup......

…..and hot chocolate!
I was parked close to set, so they decided to use my vehicle as a picture vehicle. How will they sell the California plate and the snow on my vehicle...…...

….behind set, it sure was a winter wonderland.

Oh! I was lucky enough to hold onto the Good Doctor's lunch until he was on his break, lol.

Looking up to the heavens in my cast vehicle, cannot see past the ice and snow!

I had to drop Dr. Park at his place in Kitsilano. He, being from California, was shocked to see how much snow was on his pick-up truck.

…..the drifts on my balcony...

…..heading downtown, the good news was most people stayed off the roads on this day, so the commute was not so bad.

On Kingsway, not much traffic at all.....
…. or on the Cambie bridge.

The production was concerned for the safety of the cast drivers and their passengers, so they gave a survival kit of sand bags, shovel, food, gloves, and a blankie!

They cancelled half of the Wednesday filming, to make sure the cast and crew got home safely.

Looking from my balcony, a beautiful sunrise on the first day of episode 317.

We had to work on Saturday to cover for the missed filming on Snowmaggedon. I had some time to hang out at the gym at Bridge Studios.

The fans on the Good Doctor have way too much time on their hands. I do not think this will ever be a part of the show.
