liquid sunshine........

Ahhh, yes, the fall weather is upon us. All I can do is hunker down at our filming location in Coquitlam.

More hunkering at the Bridge Studios.....

and more as we do a Fraturday at....

…..….. VCC. (Vancouver Community College)

Back at the studio, the weather co-operated on this day. In my rearview mirror, I spy our 2nd AD, Brian, talking with Richard Schiff, who plays Doctor Glassman on the Good Doctor.

Had a beer at Toby's on Commercial Drive with fellow Teamster peep, Ron, after our monthly union meeting.

A foggy start to my day.

I had to retrieve an iPad for this episode's director from her room at the Sutton Place hotel. That's an OK view.

Officially the smallest pick-up I have ever done for any of the departments.
4 miniscule screws.
Back in Coquitlam, we filmed at the Mr. Pets pet store, OMG, wait until you see that episode. (super cute spoiler alert)

One night our base camp was parked outside of B.C. Place stadium.

Another view looking east towards Science World.

The runway is pretty clear at the Bridge studios on this night.

Lily has done it again. Our catering dessert maker knocked this cake out of the park!

The respect I get from my daughter, lol. (made me laugh when I found it on my coffee table when I got home from work)

Out for junior's birthday, the tuna tower at the River's Reach pub in New Westminster hit the spot for me.

2 kids with that,  "dad's at it again", look.

The night before, junior celebrated with his grip peeps at the Black and Blue Restaurant downtown Vancouver. At an average price of $22 per ounce for this Japanese wagyu beef, well, you do the math...…….
The sun sets on another filming day on the Good Doctor. (8 episodes down, 10 to go for season 2)
Driving home Dr. Aoki on the show (Tamlyn Tomita), she asked if we could stop at T & T supermarket on the way to pick-up ingredients for her famous "crack sushi."

They have a huge selection of Asian goodies.

Back at the studio, turning one of the stages into an Emergency room ambulance bay.

Our craft service (basically our snack truck) person, Kelly, provided these candies for the crew that her husband brought back from a business trip in Tokyo.

One of my favourite views while driving around Vancouver. This is looking north on Boundary road towards the North Shore mountains.

I usually do not have much for breakfast on set. Today I decided to order an omelette from the caterers, and boy, did  they deliver!

The Good Doctor himself, Freddie Highmore was busy making the rounds on late night T.V. (Here he is on the Late Show with Seth Meyers)
….sums it up alright....
Yup, I've heard it.

This eagle landed on this guy's boat on Shuswap lake, about 5 hours or so northeast of Vancouver.

You might have to zoom in to see any humour in this pic.

…..I'd say that's a wee bit of a traffic snarl....

…….NO WAY!

I'm not sure if that is any more convenient than towing it.

Well, not quite...…..
