quiet on the set

Wow! I am long overdue to update my blog, where did the summer, (and the fall for that matter) go to. One of the things I do to amuse myself is doing a little background (extra work) in the film industry in Vancouver. One this day we were at the old Riverview hospital in Coquitlam where a lot of shows are filmed.  

This was not part of the set!

Look at me!, the next best thing to being a doctor is playing one! This was on Untold Stories of the ER

After all that hard play, it was time to celebrate, and if I don't watch it I could end up like the label! (I only bought that wine because it reminded me of a private joke shared by some members of the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay)

This view across English Bay is only a memory now, as it is November and it is November, and alas, it is raining again!

Settling in for the last night of the Celebration of Light Fireworks. This night it was Italy, (the winners this year) putting on the show.

The view of the Burrard bridge inside of Pat's motorhome, a perfect place to hang out and wait for the show to begin.

My brother Skip showed up and stirred things up a little.

The sunsets are so beautiful on the west coast.

A lot of boats were in the bay to catch the firework action.

The sun is down, the lights of the city take over.

Italy did an awesome job, even used the colours of their flag ( in order, too!) in their presentation.

Along the dyke from Richmond to Steveston, it's a beautiful flat bike route.

It just happened to be the Richmond Maratime Festival in Steveston.
