All in the family........

Had a chance visit the Queen Elizabeth Theatre recently......

We really enjoyed Hadestown. The story was a little glum, but the music was very catchy, and the performances by the cast and the musicians was impressive.
A great, albeit a little late for this old dude, great evening. Kanpai!
All in the family, right? I started work this week on another Brightlight pictures show, Alert: Missing Persons Unit season 2. (First season was apparently filmed in Montreal.) Not my usual gig, started the day with this cube van as my ride.
Next, grab that washroom trailer and take it back to Tahoe. (The company, not the city, lol.)
Spent a lot of time running errands with this daily driver. Also took the execs out scouting locations for the first episode.
Meanwhile back at circus, captain Jacen is arranging the cast trailers. The show goes to camera on Dec. 12th.
Oh ya, one day my ride was this 5 ton Hino.
Forget my world famous (my world) banana pancakes! On this day it was persimmon pancakes, yum yum!
I guess my dispatch from the mighty Teamsters 155 office kind of makes it official.
The days scouting locations brought us to the City Centre Motel in Mt. Pleasant. What used to be a very seedy and dubious location has recently been turned into artists' studios.
We were scouting downtown, very close to Stanley Park.
We went to a container yard in Surrey, wowsa....
......an active container yard!
Then it was off to the old Dairyland buildings in Burnaby. Wow, a lot of milk would of fit in there in the day.
I call this "the disappearing Burnaby industry landscape looking out towards the never ending Brentwood condos", pic, phew!
The next day we went up to the warehouses just below my condo building. Once again, more condos are peeking out. (Apparently there will eventually be 25 towers on this property.)
In the meantime, not sure if I would want to live so close to all the warehouse action.
It has been 6 months since I've done a cast pick-up at YVR.
On this day I picked up Alert's "Nikki Batista" and her family. One more suitcase and I don't think I could of fit them and it all in.
Actually kind of a nice change from my Good Doctor duties. Today I was in charge of stocking the cast trailers, including the towels and the bath mats. One down, 17 more to go. (Oh ya, I was entrusted to change the smoke detector batteries in all the rooms as well, what an honor!)
Must be 6 face cloths in each basket, phew, the pressure.
The finishing touch, the faux orchid.
Other responsibilities: which 2 inch ball hitch to pick.........
Out for a stroll in my hood yesterday. This alley was actually a set at the old Buller stages in Burnaby. I remember working for the show "Arrow" here many moons ago.
The window tag on my cast ride makes it even more official.......or does it?
