VOTB

Things are winding down on the filming of the National Geographic mini series Valley of the Boom. (As is the traffic today on Georgia Street leaving downtown Vancouver towards Stanley Park.) It was hard to get to our set on Georgia Street because of an accident on the Lion's Gate Bridge that snarled the afternoon commute.
I asked for an omelette for breakfast from our wonderful caterers, omg, sooooooo good. The avocado was a nice finishing touch..

The day started out on Georgia Street

Hanging out in Coal Harbour for 6 days was alright.
Later on, we were at Pacific Coliseum on Renfrew Street. I had a flashback, omg, I hate to date myself, but I remember seeing Kiss here back in 1978!

Back at the offices of Pixelon (our set on Georgia Street.)
(click on the link, it is a fascinating story)

A blast from the past, the set included some a lot of archaic computer equipment from the 90's.

wow, seems like yesterday......

another spectacular day in "make believe land"

back at the Pixelon offices, this time on the roof for a scene. A different view looking west on Georgia....

and east......

they're up there somewhere

Another one of my cast driving duties, delivering flowers safely to one of our actors.

This Canada goose family was walking right towards my car. I started getting a little concerned as I lost sight of them......
.....all good, they walked right past my car and headed past our base camp towards the park.

Hanging out on Georgia Street one last time on this show.

I don't even remember where I captured this "stump art".

Of course I'm the only one picking up cast at the Sutton Place Hotel this particular morning. That is because its 4:15 in the morning!

New meets old as we spent a day at Oceanic Plaza downtown at Hastings and Burrard streets.

The scene was a choreographed dance number, it was lot of fun to watch, I'm looking forward to seeing this production when it comes out.

Fellow Teamster peeps Mike and Bob watching the filming as well.

A truck parked out on the street behind Oceanic Plaza.

Oh that looks reassuring.

The dance party continued all day.....
and carried on into the streets until twilight.

While wrapping up, we were treated to a random fireworks display.

Today we were hanging out on Alexander street in Gastown.

We managed to take over the entire intersection until we moved....

.....back to the Pacific Coliseum.

Today, it was an airport lobby.
I had a bit of time to explore the PNE fairgrounds, I never new this park was even here.

A little sushi teaser from our caterers. Glad to hear that they will be coming back to the Good Doctor with us when we start filming season 2.

The end of the week, the trucks are ready to roll out to our Monday location.

A lovely Saturday morning view of Mount Baker from my place.
....and here is a ton of pics from the web the last couple of weeks.

gnarly, yuck!

how maddening

this is some of the worst advice I have ever heard
