That's what I'm talking about! Why can't we have packaging like this back home. (and yes, those potato chips were as spicy as the bag implies)
A very quick tour around downtown Osaka.......
....too much for this old guy.
Interesting enough, though.
The goal was to have our picture taken with this (apparently very famous) dude, the Glico running man. Mission accomplished.
Another missioned accomplished at the train station in Osaka.
.......and finally off to Hiroshima. Haven't been back in the hood since 2017.
Wait a minute, what's that clear liquid starting to show up. Say it isn't so......
...... not on the one day we came to see a beloved Hiroshima Carp baseball game.
Odds aren't looking so great.....
.....we made the trek, but in the end the game was rained out. Off we go.......
.....ahhhh some oysters to comfort our loss......
....after all we are in Japan, and it's my holiday and I'll drink biru if I want too, lol....
I think hanging out with Ritsue, her mom and her friends was an equally swell way to spend the afternoon. Kanpai to the lovely ladies.
So Ritsue's mom and friend went to nearby Costco to get hot dogs for the game. I had to clandestinely eat mine at the restaurant, not too obvious, hey.
Hahaha, unbeknownst to me, they had ordered more wieners.....hmnnnnn...., hyuk
Love the colorful packaging at the stores in Japan.
Corn on the cob at the Daiso (dollar) store????
Smile your'e on candid camera......
That's a pretty darn good price on prawns, you could not get them for that in Vancouver.
.....okay I am somewhat (not much) embarrassed. Losing track of all the place we are enjoying biru at.
Tis the bar-b-que season. If you're ever in the neighbourhood, Jan Ja Ka is the place.
The view from the sports fields above Ritsue's mothers' house, over-looking downtown Hiroshima and beyond.
This cemetery is in the neighbourhood as well......
.....a little tight for space.
...one last look, for now. Time to get on the road, there's other places to go....
On the road again, going places I have definitely never been........
