Behind the scenes..........
.......wont be long before San Jose St. Bonaventure hospital is up and running again for season 5 of the Good Doctor.
Time to make a toast to the much needed time off. Lots of time to look out towards Mt. Baker.
We had two weeks of "wrap". Most of that was storing and returning all of the vehicles and equipment we used this past season. On the very last day, I got my first LND. (loss and damage). A dump truck spit out a rock at my windshield as I was crossing the Iron Worker's Memorial bridge.
......doesn't look much better from the inside. We ended up replacing the windshield.
One of my wrap duties was taking a couple of the cast to the airport. First to go was Dr. Park. (Will Yun Lee). Next was the Good Doctor himself, Freddie Highmore. On this day I was dropping of the medical consultant, Susie. It is still very, very quiet at international departures.
Getting into the longest days of the year. Only during this time can we see a nice sunset looking west from the condo.
....and the weather has been perfect for evening strolls.....
Forget all that free catered film food, (well, not entirely, lol) it's time for more home-cooked treats like this deep-fried tofu with spices and cheese, and Korean pancake with green onions that Ritsue concocted, yum-yum!
One of the wrap days I got to back to my roots, driving the big trucks around the lower mainland.
Even got to play San Jose paramedic. I was very tempted to try the lights and sirens out on the freeway.
Being off work when others are still working means we finally got a seat at the new brew pub close to our place, Studio Brewing. (Maybe named that because it is very close to the stages they used to film Smallville and Arrow, two show that I actually did some work on many moons ago.)
More time at home means more time to perfect my famous (in my small world) dad's banana pancakes! (The buttermilk really makes it!)
Near the end of wrap, the only parking left for my little
Honda civic was with all the Good Doctor production trucks that we were storing at the northeast corner of the Bridge Studios.
The last week I was having fun running errands with transport's Ford f-350. (the song "King of the Road" comes to mind, lol.)
Ritsue was so impressed, she needed to take it out for a test drive. (albeit only in the condo parking lot)
Now that's a big climb to get in.
One last look at San Jose, and then it was time to call it a season.
.....I, for one, am happy the restaurants are open again. Our first outing was back to Vassilis Souvlaki Greek Taverna on Kingsway close to our place. Love the ambiance!
Ritsue concurs!
The, same, delicious shot of the food, should of saw that in my editing, lol, pic.
........ain't doing so bad at home, that was one tasty omelette right there driver!
The first part of the season finale came on last week. It was fun watching knowing the places we went to to make it look like Guatemala.
The standing in the sea container, protecting us from all the the condo construction in our neighbourhood, hallway pic.
The 4:20 a.m., getting up to go to the bathroom, looking out towards Mt. Baker, seeing the moon, and I think that's Venus in the top right corner, pic.
Meanwhile, up in Summerland, junior is taking some good nature pics with his iPhone.
A thread-waisted wasp don't you know......
.....simply delightful.
Some pics I took off of the web of part 1 of the season 4 finale of the Good Doctor. There's Dr. Andrews (Hill Harper) flirting with nurse Ana. (Esmeralda Pimentel)
Number 2 and number 1. Dr. Browne (Antonia Thomas) and Dr. Murphy. (Freddie Highmore)
How far does a handshake between Dr. Lim (Christina Chang) and Dr. Mateo Rendon Osma (Osvaldo Benavides) go? Stay tuned!
Dr. Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) making some tough choices.
Dr. Browne and Dr. Park (Will Yun Lee) enjoying a night out in Guatemala. (aka: the Bridge Studios)
The not so happy couple, Lea (Paige Spara) and Dr. Murphy. Season finale tonight, can't wait!!
