17 and cloudy

Killing some time shopping in Kawasaki. One last look around. From the mall I can see the trains just beyond Kosugi Core Park. (when I added these pics to the blog it was.......17 and cloudy in Burnaby)

We always make time for a refreshment.
Yes, it's true, the big Japan adventure is coming to an end. Only 8 more hours left.
We'll be back.....
Reason to smile. Instead of riding the trains, for $11 you can take a tour bus......
....and have it to yourself for the most part. (only 4 other passengers)
Well that makes it official.....
We had access to the ANA lounge at the Haneda airport. There were so many people crammed in there, I could almost hear the moos as the people grazed.
Wow, 9 hours later, leaving at 9:55 p.m. and landing at 2:55 p.m. the same day, we touched down in Vancouver.
Ya, our stink bugs aren't as colorful.
After a couple of day at home it was time to get out and explore......
......this hike was a little more challenging than I had read about online.
Finally we made it to the top of Quarry Rock in Deep Cove.
The hike is worth the view.
Tourists in our own hood.
One challenging climb up and an equally challenging climb down.
We made it back down and had a quick peek at Deep Cove in North Vancouver, than it was time......
....of course, to quench our hiking thirsts at Steamworks Brewing in Burnaby.
Got a chance to watch junior play hockey with his newest team, the Iron Sheiks.
.....and this is what I spend a lot of time contemplating. There was a council meeting this week. The City of Burnaby wants to remove two government subsidized towers (the Hall Towers) beside my condo and replace them with 5 towers, 3 in the 50 story range and 2 in the 30's. Is it time to move on, hmnnnn.
