Can't believe the Christmas hiatus is over, not quite ready to get back to work. I wonder if Nutopia is covid free?
Went to see the Yoko Ono exhibit at the Vancouver Art Gallery.......
I was more interested in the photos they included in the collection. Still worth the trip, though, wow, the history.....
Ritsue's mother sent her a care package from Japan, including this instant Miso soup.
It was a nice break, but Christmas was very quiet.....
My daughter's work had a covid exposure, so no Christmas dinner at my place. So we packed it all up and dropped it off at her place. We had a toast with the champagne the Good Doctor gave me for a gift, with Ritsue and I outside and daughter, boyfriend and junior inside.
.....almost forgot the Christmas crackers!!
....way to go junior, merry Christmas, lol.
.....Christmas morning was princess's princess time......
....blast from the past! Daughter thought it was fun to get me an Archie comic book for Christmas. I love it! Straight into the bathroom, lol.
Crazy weather over the holidays. The snowdrifts on our balcony have finally dissipated.
A chilly minus 12 Celsius (10.4 fahrenheit) on the night we went to see the lights at the Burnaby Village Museum.
A frigid but enjoyable evening.
Staycation, tourists in our own town. We spent 2 nights at the Sutton Place hotel downtown Vancouver. It was cool, dark and wet the first day......
....followed by sunny and cold on the day we went to......
....the Vancouver Art Galley. Wow, a picture of John and Yoko with Prime Minister Trudeau from 1969.
There were other exhibits at the gallery, some more curious than others.
.....all that culture makes one a little thirsty. We went to the lounge at the Sutton, which pre-covid was often full of all the guest stars of the many film productions in town.
A fresh dump of snow the next morning made for a perfect drive around.......
....Stanley Park! Part of the lagoon was still frozen over.
Looking across to the North Shore mountains, spectacular!
Princess meadow, lol....
Don't judge me! We needed some food after the nature high. I was going for a healthier option, but how many times in your life can you get a bowl of mini corn dogs??? Thank-you Cannibal Cafe! The cold weather brought some spectacular views of Mt. Baker.
The snow angel is back!
Thank-you Varied Thrush for being a poser!
Random, I call this, "thinking on the throne", pic.
Okay, still on holidays, don't judge, back on track in 2022! (right after this New Year's day breakfast, lol)
epilogue, hopefully back to filming episode 511 of the Good Doctor this week. We took last week off as an extra covid safety precaution.
