A dark early morning wait outside of Fisherman's Wharf in Vancouver. Soon (actually now) the U.S. Thanksgiving hiatus will begin for the Good Doctor and the rest of the gang.
What a shock! I was briefly thrown into the cable truck when we were on location in Burnaby. Surprised I still remembered how, lol.
We were very close to this church in Burnaby Heights. Hey, wait a minute, this church looks very familiar to one we were filming at in episode 507.
Right! The sign they were using in episode 507 even fooled me!
On this day of episode 509 of the Good Doctor, I had some down time because they pushed the actor's pick-up time by an hour. I was close to Olympic village, so I had a chance to go for a stroll......
Wow, this tree is facing a similar over-crowding problem that Vancouver is facing with all of the new condo development.
So much more peaceful underneath the Cambie St. bridge then driving over it heading into the traffic madness downtown.
I never said we weren't spoiled on the Good Doctor. (Although most of us felt spoiled when the writer and director of episode 509 surprised us with this lobster truck, wow!)
We stopped by the Royal Canadian Legion in Burnaby on Remembrance Day to share a toast to the veterans who have served and protected our countries.
Ha, an early morning wait for cast by Kits Beach, nice to get out to feel the fresh morning air.......
.......two days later, same place, but I'm not getting out to smell the fresh, wet air this time.
Sunday morning was spent with coffee and our monthly Teamsters Zoom union meeting, something I feel very strongly about.
Crazy weather days, sitting in the rain on Robson Street before I swoop into the Sutton hotel for a episode 509 guest star pick-up.
2 Mondays ago, after being hit hard on the week-end with the atmospheric river that caused so much damage in B.C., I found my own little problem in my underground. I was surprised, as our condo is at the top of the hill in South Burnaby.
Doesn't really show how deep, but enough for me to go back up to change my shoes and socks, lol.
Standing by close to Main St., you see a lot of building murals scattered about Mt. Pleasant.
Look up, look way up. Hanging out on Richards St. downtown waiting to pick-up our beloved Salen. One this day I was recruited to take a covid rapid test to the Lifelabs facility in Surrey. We are still getting tested 3 times a week.
Well, well, well looks like Dr. Reznick is getting a little chummy with Salen, the new owner of the hospital. Hmnnnnn, stay tuned......
One of our cast drivers, Jesse, took pictures from the mudslides that he and about 100 other cars got stuck in last Sunday. The people did make it out of this wreckage with minor injuries.
They were trapped between 2 slides for over 18 hours. Finally they were all taken out by helicopter, and had to return for their vehicles later in the week.
.....the devastation
Learned a new old word last week, tchotchke. It was used in one of the scripts, huh.
Ritsue has finally posted her handmade slipper creations on Facebook. Get yours for Christmas!
Well, hmnnn, Yippee Ki-Yay to another week on the Good Doctor!
