Heading down through Chinatown in Vancouver for a cast pick-up , I can't believe we are on the final week of shooting the new Amazon series, "Upload". |
We spent a couple of days in the downtown eastside. It was an eye-opener. The homeless and drug problems in this area were so much worse than I realized. (They cleaned up this alley for this day.) |
To the untrained eye, it looked like a very pleasant day at Victory Square. (I'll leave it at that). |
We spent part of one day at the Dominion building on the corner of Hastings and Cambie. (built in 1910) |
The back side of the building is not as pretty. |
The locations department provided the maps for the day. |
Interesting old buildings around the area. |
…..looking back to Victory Square...... |
On the cable truck, Teamster peep Mike, and genny op Keith (in charge of setting up all the power needed to run the sets), are hard at work as I watch, lol. |
Another view of Hastings and Cambie. |
As I was awaiting wrap on this day, I noticed this water tower on top of the Koret building off of Powell Street. |
We filmed on Columbia Street, and this was my view for a couple of hours. |
This guy was cooking up something. It was interesting, that as troubling as it was to watch, there seemed to be some purpose to their day. |
Back to the Future, on the other side of the street, we kept filming while the craziness of the downtown eastside continued. |
Parked closed to Chinatown. |
This guy seemed like the head of the camp I was parked beside. |
Parked beside the Mah Society building of North America on Pender St. |
Waiting to pick-up cast, another view of False Creek, close to Yaletown. |
On this day, I had to pick-up and exec at the swanky Shangri-La on Georgia. (That's okay, I have the code to the private washrooms on the main floor!) |
Standing by for a long time, this pillar outside of the hotel, is starting to look like something. |
We spent a day at Stanley Park as well. This map from locations shows the set locations today. It was all around the Stanley Park Pavilion.
|
On this day, hanging out with fellow Teamster cast driver peep Jim, at the Jericho Lands. |
We did a day at Deer Lake in Burnaby. As cute as the Canadian geese are, what a mess the leave on the beach! |
It was the place to be on this beautiful day. |
Not too bad of a moon shot. |
Our last day of filming. Let me tell you this mushroom omelette prepared by our caterers was sooooooooooooo good. |
On his last day of filming, one of the main cast, Kevin Bigley, was chilling in the shade. |
...back to Deer Lake |
Wait for it, ahhh, the sunset. |
….one of the days this week we were at this house on a horse farm in Southlands... |
Omg! 911 to get the wi-fi router to set. |
Another temperature record bites the dust.... this was in Burnaby today. |
…...and then it was over, all that was left was some crew tiding up and closing the main set in Coquitlam.
How about that, I'm out of a job again......
|
on the web...….brilliant! |
So, uh, should we crown him king of the rednecks? |
