Getting closer.....

Not very often we finish filming early enough for me to get home and catch the last half of Monday Night Football.

The Brooke the production assistant, (on the left) doing a good job trying to look like Teamster peep Dave on Halloween, pic.
Saturday night at Wings in Burnaby. It's not always about their wings, the steak special for $18.98 is very good. (a lot cheaper than............t.b.c.)

What happens when you put the microwave on 3 minutes instead of 30 seconds?
The very early Sunday morning, cold and rainy, waiting to pick-up Lea, pic.
After a miserable morning in Ladner, the sun came out to make the filming day a little more bearable.
As always, day stretched into night. I sat waiting for the Good Doctor outside of this old motel in Ladner. We used the bar here a long, long time ago, I think in Season 2, when Shaun and Lea sang karaoke.
Monday morning, looking towards Stanley Park, evidence of a significant snowfall on the North Shore mountains, pic.
.....out of the corner of my eye I spotted it, the striped tomato!
These Good Doctor picture vehicles parked between stages 4 and 9 (which doesn't see much sun this time of year) received a little snow shower Sunday night.

.....aha, spotted at Cates Park in North Vancouver, I wonder what adventure Shaun and Lea are on this time?
The war memorial at Cates Park includes this piece of jade weighing over 5 tons.
Hey, wait a minute, where are we?
Fellow cast driving peeps Laura and Jordan frolicking on the beach. It was chilly (around 3 celsius), but the sun made it bearable.
The, that's a really big Canadian maple leaf, pic.
Simply gorgeous.
I was doing my own frolicking. Hey look, a jelly fish!
Going back to Saturday night at Wings, how about Friday night at Elisa in Yaletown? Ya, we'll start with the onion ring tower.........
........and finish with a Japanese whiskey, how decadant.
We were celebrating junior's belated birthday.
Well, the bill wasn't quite the same as a Saturday night at Wings. $79 for a rib-eye, yikes. All in all Elisa Wood-fired Grill is a great place, good atmosphere, food, and superb service. You can sure stomach the food, but can you stomach the price?
.....retro shot of me and junior at the Canucks game a couple of weeks ago, cheers!
........and one retro pic of Dr. Reznick in the Halloween episode of the Good Doctor. Now, only two more sleeps............

Early Friday night.....

The early Friday night was soon to come, but first I had to endure a couple of early, early mornings at the studio.

Just over one month ago we had no neighbour beside our stage 12 at the Bridge Studios.......
.....but now construction is in full swing for the newest series to film in Vancouver. (Titled Port Lawrence '93, aka "Goosebumps.")
Thanks to fellow Teamster peep Eugene, who knows a guy, lol, we now have way better beans for our morning coffee.
My favourite waiting to pick-up cast spot. Always a different view.
My two Fridays ago, waiting for the executive producer and his family close to B.C. Place, pic. They were there to see the Elton John Farewell Tour concert. Getting out of there was a little challenging to say the least.
....and there it is! Ritsue is now the newest team member at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre.
Ahoy Matey! Ritsue had her pirate on at the Nikkei Centre's last farmer's market of the season last Sunday.
Well, if you're in the neighbourhood, you may or may not want to try the Me-n-Ed's half  Me-n-Ed's combo and half.........wait for it......sauerkraut pizza (The Oktoberfest pizza, don't you know) Actually, it was pretty good, Italian sausage, cheese and mustard sauce, mmnnnnn!
Good thing Dr. Reznick and Dr. Park were not in on this day, they would of had a hard time getting into their trailers.
I woke up briefly one night to see this on the clock radio. Apparently it may or may not have a connection to the spiritual world. Hmnnnnnnn.....
A dark view of Kits beach and downtown, another early morning wait for cast.

Yay! On Friday, Will and Fiona (Park and Reznick) paid for a coffee truck to come and treat the crew.
What seems odd to me. 6 p.m. on a Friday night and the sky-train was not crowded.
A toast to the executive producer, who gave me two tickets to the good old hockey game.....
......and there is the legend himself, Sydney Crosby. Junior and I had center ice seats, 12 rows up from the ice, nice!
.....and a home team victory as well! What a way to finish off the week. Tomorrow is the start of 11 days in a row for the mighty Teamsters. We are currently filming episode 608 (technically episode 10) of the Good Doctor. By the 11th day we will be well into episode 609.
Did I mention I hate Wordle?

In the thick of it..........

Had a lovely rooftop thanksgiving dinner at bro Skip's place. Haven't seen Carmen and my nieces in ages. What a feast!

My attempt to get a smoky sunrise cell phone pic. We have had a lot of forest fires close to the lower mainland that has left us with some very poor air quality. The one bit of rain we had on Friday was much needed.
Our show runner, executive producer, and developer, David Shore, back in town to finish off the 100th episode. On this day we were in a neighbourhood in North Burnaby.
Lesson learned. If you leave your fruit salad on the passenger seat, then have to hit the brakes on your vehicle rather hard, well,...............
....hanging at my favourite wait for a cast pick-up spot, Point Grey Park Site at Trafalgar Square.

....different pick-up spots these days. On this day I was back out at Horseshoe Bay.......
......he's in there somewhere.
Now for the smoky moon pic......
The day after dinner at Skip's we went down to Spanish Banks.
A very pleasant day indeed.
The random, out for a walk, that's quite a bit of fungus, pic.
By our Good Doctor circus at the Bridge Studios. Not bad for a cell phone pic.
One of few times we have left the studio this season. On this day we took over another Burnaby neighbourhood. I think this was for episode 9 of season 6.
.....add washing producer and cast vehicles to the cast driving chores. (helping out this time was fellow cast driving peeps Laura and J.P.)
Ritsue is looking quite lovely as she performs her background duties on another production.
Carmen and I sending our best to..................(all in good fun)

Hey, don't point that camera at me!
I love these little news stories. This one is way off, just sayin.
I enjoyed the second episode of season 6. We got to meet the new doctors, Dr. Perez, and Dr. Powell.
Well, time to put San Jose Saint Bonaventure hospital to bed for another week. Back to working on episode 608 tomorrow.
