Another star is born......

Wow, the gorgeous fall weather continues. Don't mind waiting for cast when I'm hanging out at places like this.

Hair on fire!, does that mean???............
Another shout out to our Good Doctor catering team, especially you Louie, this breakfast sandwich......nailed it!
Well look who has finally donned a pair of scrubs for episode 605 of the Good Doctor!
My friend Greg sent me this picture shortly after Queen Elizabeth passed away. She was in Penticton many, many moons ago. He's the nerdy kid with the tape on his glasses, lol. Not quite remembering why my family wasn't there.
Where's Waldo, I mean Ritsue? That was a huge line-up for catering. Many, many background at Vancouver Community College on this day. Thank goodness the mighty Teamsters get to eat first!
....and here's my shout-out to Studio Brewing in Burnaby, which just happens to be on our walk route. Wish you were beer!
Oh my, look who Ritsue bumped into on set. Dr. Lim decided it was selfie time!
Then it was Dr. Lim, Dr. Reznick and Ritsue sticking their tongues out at me, well how about that!
One more shot, now back to work ladies!
Still addicted to Wordle. On this day, I finally got the word, but I have never ever heard of it before. I did a poll around the studio, only about 25% of the folks have ever heard of it. I think the ones that did know it must have heard it on Game of Thrones or something.

The 100

.....and there it is! Episode 4 of season 6 of the Good Doctor just happened to be the 100th episode of the series. We had a little celebration at the lunch break, including these cupcakes. 100 down and how many more to go?

Looking out to Mt. Baker, another beautiful fall day upon us.
My view of the 100th episode cake cutting. You can see parts of Dr. Allen, Dr. Andrews, Dr. Murphy, Dr. Reznick and way in the back, Dr. Lim.
The Charlie Bar coffee truck ladies were showing the love on that day.........
The sun sets on the stages at the Bridge Studios, but filming continues...
A very different commute today. Heading over the Patullo Bridge from New Westminster to Surrey, where we spent a day at Surrey City Hall, which fronts as San Jose St. Bonaventure hospital.
A lot of smoke in the last couple of weeks from forest fires to the east and south of us.
Ford Canada gave me $500 in gift cards for all the trouble I have had with my 2021 Ford Expedition. Wipers, misfires, transmission, wiring harnesses, yada, yada, yada. Anywho, I used one card for an evening out at the Keg restaurant in Burnaby, yum yum.
We're not on the road very often, so it was a pretty big (and long) day for us in downtown Langley.
....and that's about all I got to see on this day, the rest of filming was inside the community centre.
Congratulations to Freddie and Chandra Wilson of Grey's Anatomy who were presenters at this year's Emmy Awards.
Last Saturday night was spent watching junior play hockey in North Vancouver. (His birthday wish, lol) I haven't seen him play since he was a teenager, it was a fun night out.
On this filming day I had to go out to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal and pick up an actor that was coming in as a foot passenger.
The random, look through the netting at the ice, pic.
Look who's getting all dressed up for her role as a background performer on "the Power", which is also being filmed in Vancouver.
Flashback to last Saturday night's action.
One of the many beautiful pictures sister-in-law Wendy sent me from her stay in India, where she is getting medical treatment. These Neelakurinji flowers bloom only once every 12 years.
A shot of the gang at a charity event in August. (left to right Dr. Murphy, Dr. Powell?, Dr. Wolke, Dr. Reznick, Lea, show runner David Shore, and executive producer and director of episode 603 Daniel Dae Kim.
Also from Wendy,, .....fitting.

The build up........

Well, it's awhile ago, but those blackberries Ritsue picked in our neighbourhood turned into some very tasty jam, and even tastier blackberry margarita's!

The once again, waiting for the executive producer, hanging out at False Creek, pic.
......and the bored at the studio, made a video of myself walking across the lot, pic.
I had the real pleasure of driving one of this season's guest stars, Joel de la Fuente. I met him way back in season one of the Good Doctor. Tamlyn Tomita (who was in season 1) was producing Joel's one man play, "Hold these truths". (the true story about Gordon Hirabayashi, who became famous for his resistance to Japanese internment camps in World War 2.)
One of our tech surveys led us back out to San Jose St. Bonaventure hospital. (Surrey City Hall) The first episode of season 6 of the Good Doctor will air on October 3rd.
Across the plaza, look up, look wayyyyyyyyy up......
My distant view of night filming at Vancouver Community College, which of course serves as the hospital cafeteria.
When we were having that extended heat wave, sometimes the only refuge at the studio was in one of the stages, like stage 4 which plays as the doctor's offices, where the air conditioning was quite comfy.
Wow, Dr. Reznick was thrilled to find her vehicle had been detailed by fellow Teamster peep Dave.
Spent a day at the PNE in Vancouver. First up was the SuperDogs!
The mandatory selfie.
....ya, the crowds certainly took the fun out of it. Even the rides were sold out on that day.
The enjoyed some fish and chips on this double decker bus, pic.
The real reason we were there. We enjoyed an amazing concert with rock legends Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman. These guys are in their 70's and can still put on quite a show. Burton Cummings voice and piano playing and Bachman's incredible guitar playing thrilled the crowd, playing songs from their original band, the Guess Who, BTO, and from Cummings solo career.
....anyone you know?

Surviving the heat wave......

With the heat wave we were having, not much luck finding cool comfort in any of my shoes, lol. They spent lots of time on the balcony airing out, just sayin. (funny, as I write this, our first substantial rain in a long time was starting to come down.)

Hmnnnnn, what's behind those trees?
....can't quite see, the West Coast Express is in the way......
.....seen better days, ships used to come to this dock to load up lumber and timber from the mill that was here many moons ago.
.....surprised to see a lot of traffic heading up the inlet to Port Moody.
......to the trained eye, those pylons can only mean one thing......
......a film production (yes, the Good Doctor season 6) has shown up for the day.
....very nice place to spend a day.......
......and an evening. Just this one day was all we needed, stay tuned to the Good Doctor, it plays fairly early in season 6.
Our starlight crane lit up the what was left of the old mill furnace, as well as everything else in the park.
The next day was a continuation of the episode, some driving work up and down the Barnet Highway.
.... there goes a fairly wide load. An R.C.M.P. vehicle was needed to escort this San Jose police picture car.
The random, waiting to pick up the executive-producer, may as well hang at Quayside Marina in Yaletown, pic.

Now c'mon, who's the real actor?
