Hmnnnnnnn....... what to do........

Well, let's see, spring has arrived in my hood......

The random, was looking for a particular pic from my dad's past, found this one of Queen Elizabeth (although I think she was Princess Elizabeth if I am correct if this picture is from 1951) with my dad as honor guard directly behind her, proud son pic.
Once again (In my mind) I saved the day, removing this ferocious looking spider that was on our bedroom ceiling. (Did I mention it was barely the size of a pencil tip? Phew, good.)
Having to get up earlier to see the sunrises these days with the time change and all......
The bathroom fan is starting to make a lot of noise, hoping I won't have to replace it, but I probably will have to, hmnn, what to do......
Went to Rogers Arena in Vancouver, that was something to do.
There he is! Roger Neilson was the coach of the Vancouver Canucks in 1982 when they were playing in the playoffs against the Chicago Blackhawks. He was so upset with the refereeing in Chi-town that he held up a white towel as a symbol of surrender. The Canuck players held up white towels on their sticks in support. The next game was in Vancouver and the fans also held up white towels in support. Hence the towel waving at many different arenas and sporting events across the world.

Ritsue had the privilege of meeting Pat Quinn, a very popular, both player, and coach of the Vancouver Canucks in the 1970's and 1980's.
Yay, finally seeing our first game of the 24-25 season. Excited to be there, not so excited that a 12 ounce beer is now $12, yikes!
I loved our seats. Even though it's it a corner, it actually had a great view of all of the action on ice.
The Canuck's goalie Lankinen did his best for the team, but in the end the Utah hockey club came out ahead, 3-1. (Not to complain, well I guess I am, we spent a lot of money on that night to see one of the worst efforts in the 40 plus years I have been going to Canuck's games, just sayin.)
Hmmnnnnn, what to do, what to do. Is there any more room on that thing????

Mr. In-between.....

This foggy morning in January looking out towards Mt. Baker makes my foggy brain think, a lot........

....no, not about how gross cleaning the oven is.....

'Twas a lovely day to visit Barnet Marine Park in Burnaby.
Looking across towards the  Port Moody side of the inlet.....
......nice, albeit a little chilly.......
......another Mt. Baker sunrise, never get tired of that view, hmnn.
The hunt for the perfect parking spot in my condo building, that doesn't encroach on my neighbor's, continues.
Went for lunch one day with my Teamster peeps. Eugene suggested this little hole in the wall that has very good reviews for lunch and breakfast. It's at the back of a lumber yard in South Vancouver, interesting. My rating is just ok, but the company made it worth the trip.
Out on my birthday walk, our one and only snow event of the winter.
Picked up Junior's ride, man that's a sweet set of handle bars he has upgraded to!
Random, chatting with the sisses, referring to this pic of the siblings, pic. (Where's Waldo, I mean Wally?)
With the film industry in Vancouver being so slow right now, trips down Boundary Road towards the Bridge Studios with the North Shore Mountains in the background are few and far between.
.....going back to the first pic, thinking a lot about retirement destinations. Well let's get on the Horseshoe Bay ferry and see where it takes us.
Well it took us to a lovely Airbnb in Courtenay on Vancouver Island. (Gambled on the weather and lost.)
.....ahhhhh, back to the Blackfin Pub in Comox for dinner. Nice and quiet here. (At least at this time of year.)
Beach weather!
Well, we kept going on the Old Island Highway until it was time for coffee at Fogg Dukkers in Campbell River.
Yup.
Still, our overall impression of Campbell River was 2 thumbs up!
......and as far as Legions go, branch 137 was very comfy cozy.
......hmnnn, which side?
Well, the hope was we would see the other side, maybe Texada Island or Powell River?
Gotta be a way to entertain myself......
.....there we go!
Early Monday morning and the clouds are finally dissapating. Alas, it was time to go.
....yup, Cumberland, Courtenay, Comox, Royston, they were all nice to visit.....
....prime spot on the ferry.....
......had our own window seat.
Now wait a minute! Yes, there was a submarine cruising beside the ferry. (Apparently Canadian Navy.)
Nice rainbow over New Westminster. (Maybe a light will shine above my head soon with retirement plans, lol.)
