My week started with a nice little stand-by at Trout Lake in Vancouver as I waited to pick-up Susie, our medical consultant for the show. One more sleep and episode 8 of season 5 of the Good Doctor will air! That's been a long time coming, for sure.
Later, my view of Burrard Inlet while I waited to pick-up Dr. Reznick was pretty snazzy as well.
My sis sent this pic looking north on Okanagan Lake in Penticton on the same day, equally as beautiful.
Early morning, hey wait a minute, I recognize that car (cars?), at the studio. Hmnnnnnn, the striped tomato (tomatoes?) is/are back!
The next day I found out why. This, what they call the process trailer, arrived at the studio.
On this day, one striped tomato was towed behind the trailer, and the cast said their lines as the vehicle was towed around the streets of Burnaby close to the studio. The other striped tomato will be used for a drive-by shot showing the cast zooming by......
I had the most fascinating job of all, driving behind and in front of the process trailer and striped tomato in a 15 passenger Ford Transit van. Inside were the camera monitors for the camera, the director, the director of photography, the writer, the script supervisor and the sound department. It was interesting to listen to the director coaching the actors as we made a total of six trips around the streets of the studio over 5 hours. The cameras were mounted on the process trailer as well as on the striped tomato. Wish I could tell you what was going on but you're going to have to wait until episode 15, lol.
Random, shake the camera and see what type of a vehicle dash image you get, pic.
We do not go on the road very much, after all, this is a hospital show. It was a nice change to be parked on Hastings Street in Vancouver for a scene that we shot at an automotive repair shop.
The pics are out of order, but Friyay was something to celebrate! (oh ya, and the shrimp cocktail as well!)
We also filmed one scene at Matchstick coffee roasters at Kingsway and Fraser in Vancouver. Can't tell you what that one is all about, either!
While all that on the road stuff was happening last week, the San Jose Saint Bonaventure hospital lay dormant.
Last Wednesday night and Thursday morning was a reminder that some people should not be out driving when the roads were as treacherous as they were. Surely that will be the last blast of winter?
Wordle is getting trickier or cleverer, anyways, Ritsue and I are still hooked on it, for now.
