Not a Fraturday.........

I'll call this one "rain on my sunroof", haha. (Standing by tends to make the mind wander.)
The Saturday night before, this was my definition of a "throng". Fellow Teamster Ron and myself headed to the PNE for...…...

…….one of the many Summer Night Concerts.

Tonight it was the iconic Canadian band, "Blue Rodeo". They did not disappoint, playing all of my favourites, haha.

Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor could still belt it out.

A great night indeed.

Monday morning on the Good Doctor, it was back over the Cambie Bridge to pick-up the director. This week the weather changed, bringing winds and much needed rain.

Trying to find a quiet place to chill for a bit at the Bridge Studios. Underneath the sky-train was not the place to be.

There goes fellow Teamster peeps Mike, John, and Bob, off on an important mission. (or maybe just heading for lunch?)

Out to Kitsilano for an early morning cast pick-up, a great sunrise over the city. (and is that the moon setting over to the left?)

Standing by downtown, don't think I've noticed this building before.

Haha, another day, standing by again for a cast pick-up, this time in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. I dodged the  rain and got a great cappuccino at Our Town cafĂ©.
The posse is getting bigger! This time the mighty Teamsters were heading to the work trucks for a move to VCC, which fronts as our hospital cafeteria.
….and there it is! My proof that we did not do a Fraturday! I managed to get home while it was light enough to get a cool view of Mount Baker
….on the web, that's one bummed out cat.

I think more roundabouts should have the same amount of greenery.

…..mnnnnn, supersize the foot fungus

Good Doctor, episodes 305 and 306

Standing by on a street in the Shaughnessy neighbourhood of Vancouver. Looking back or front, a beautiful tree-lined street.
Early start again on Season 3 of the Good Doctor Waiting to pick-up a cast member in Kitsilano, very close to Kits Beach, looking towards downtown.

At the Bridge studios, our wonderful catering team was set up in full force. We are the only show in town that uses 4 trucks to prepare our food for the day.

Out to Vancouver International Airport, Dr. Glassman, (Richard Schiff), is back in town.

A quick stop to Whole Foods, so he could pick up some fresh produce.

Another day, this time hanging by False Creek, close to where I have to pick up the Good Doctor himself

We shot one day at Vancouver Community College, which we have used many times before. (used as the hospital cafeteria) Cool to see 4 guys show up randomly with classic Camaros.
Pulling up front of the College with the Good Doctor. (who I cannot show a picture of without permission from Sony)

Our base camp that day was across the street. It took exactly 4 minutes for the sun to drop behind that building. (I consider watching things like this part of my standing by duties, lol.)

…...and it's gone.

The bored, pacing around, grass meets pavement, pic.

….and there they are again, our fabulous caterers, minus one truck, serving up heaven near our shooting location in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood of Vancouver.

…….another day, back through Chinatown on my way to pick up a guest star at the Sutton hotel.

A shot from the office looking down on fellow Teamster cast driver peep Jim, and myself. Looks like we're on a stake-out. Well I guess we kind of are, as we wait to take the cast home.

…..a mini Fraturday in the Commercial drive area, at a row of townhouses that is used as Dr. Lever's residence.

Probably the last baseball game of the season for me and Skip. It is always at great time at the Vancouver Canadians games.

The GD grind...

It's tough in the trenches these days on season three of the Good Doctor, but I'm managing, haha.
(The mighty Teamster's set this up at our base camp at the studio. This little oasis was enjoyed by many cast and crew during our mini heat wave.)
Had a chance to go out for dinner with my daughter at the River's Reach pub in New Westminster.

An early start again, awaiting cast in Yaletown.

Still home in time to see a gorgeous sunset.

Round and round, another day, another trip across the Cambie Bridge...….
……..and another cast pick-up close to Yaletown.

People on set were very respectful of the no parking signs in front of the Facilities Services building. (Although it is a façade, a set for the show, there is nothing but one cement wall of stage 4 behind those doors.)

I would think this is one of my more important duties. Today I had to pick-up  the payroll for the show. (that's a lot of cheques!)

Tried to take a picture of Burrard Inlet from the gym while I was on the treadmill one morning.

Most of our regular cast have their own residences so it isn't very often these days that I get to do a pick-up at the Sutton Place hotel.

30 seconds from the Bridge studios, almost made it!

So, as I have stated before, we sometimes have more downtime than I know what to do with....
let's just call these boredom pics around the studio.

….ha-ha sun-roof pic of the steel beam above....
….and I'll call this "stage 10 meets the sky".

…..another look to the heavens......

…… as I sit on the main street of the studio,.thank goodness it was time to take a cast member home!

Our last scene of the week was out on the road, close to the studio. Not to bad, only a mini Fraturday again, I was home by 2 a.m.!
My fading away to the week-end shot.

On the web, don't know anything about this pic, but I love it!

Where is this???
